Property sector in agony as Zimbabwe burns

ZIMBABWE’S commercial and residential property sector is reeling from the double whammy of a long-standing economic crisis and the worsening effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Experts who spoke to The Financial Gazette this week confirmed that real estate business in the country — including sales, mortgages and rentals — had taken a severe beating in recent months, thereby seriously affecting the sector.
