RETAILERS are expected to see a bounce in sales on the back of the tobacco marketing season and increasing economic activity following further relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions.
The 2021 tobacco marketing season commenced last week, while maize marketing is looming large as farmers begin harvesting their crop this month. All this comes as Zimbabwe has had a good agricultural season after two dreadful seasons in which the country was ravaged by a severe drought that left more than eight million people in need of food assistance.
