Edgars pushes online sales

EDGARS Stores (Edgars) will continue to push its online sales platforms in pursuit of its ongoing expansion programme.
This comes as the apparel company is also looking to increase its footprint across the country after opening two new retail outlets last month.
The company spent $25,5 million during the 26 weeks ended July 11, 2021 on store revamps compared to $17,9 million in the comparable period.

“We aim to continue pushing the online store platform as this is the way of the future, complementing our extended brick and mortar set up. Our customers have received the platforms well — with WhatsApp shopping platforms being the more popular as customers have real-time access to their branch,” Edgars’ chief marketing officer, Rumbidzai Dzimba, told The Financial Gazette last week.
