Seed Co stock firms as VFEX comes to life

SEED CO International’s (Seed Co) stock is now trading at a 21 percent premium on the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (VFEX), relative to the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE), amid an uptick in activity on the former.
The pan-African seed processor has its primary listing on BSE, and was the first counter on the VFEX when it launched last October — its secondary listing.

Initial trading on VFEX was slow and through the first half of 2021, Seed Co had fallen to a 15 percent discount on the budding exchange.
Activity on the market, however, picked up pace in the third quarter, increasing 15-fold as Padenga Holdings joined the market.
