THE Agriculture Marketing Authority (AMA) is inviting new companies to contract farmers to help ease capital constraints and boost agriculture production.
This comes as the regulator announced that at least 16 of a total of 33 agriculture contractors have complied with regulations that require submission of the list of farmers contracted, copies of contracts, investment and total hectarage covered.

“(AMA invites) new players to consider entering into production contracts with farmers to promote the growth of the local agricultural sector,” AMA said in a statement this week.
