ZIMBABWE’S Total Consumption Poverty Line (TCPL) went up by seven percent in February from $8 495,58 to $9 144 per person, recent Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (Zimstat) figures show.

The TCPL represents the amount required by an individual to purchase both non-food and food items in order not to be deemed poor.
“The Food Poverty Line (FPL) for one person in February 2022 was $6 660. The TCPL for one person stood at $9 144 in February 2022,” Zimstat said.
