SPORTS law is one of the fastest evolving areas of law in the world. Oftentimes, basic concepts of the law such as contract, labour, delict, property and even human rights take on a different interpretation when it comes to sports.
The reason for this is that sports as an industry is fast-paced and ever-evolving.
The court in the Australian case of Woods v Multi-Sport rightly stated that “the law cannot operate with regards to sports in the same way as other activities.”
