CHURCHES bring together people of the same faith and beliefs to worship under one roof and often under one name. It is a common occurrence in Zimbabwe to see small churches springing up in neighborhoods, towns and villages all over the country.
A lot of these small churches do not see the need to formally register but instead operate as small community-oriented centres for fellowship and spreading the gospel. Indeed, small community churches don’t have to deal with a lot of the issues that larger churches have to deal with on a day-to-day basis.
These include large-scale labour, asset management, fundraising accounting and other administrative issues. Larger churches cannot afford not to be well structured, otherwise, they cannot go about their business in an efficient manner.
