Zimra sets aside $4,3 billion for projects

ZIMBABWE Revenue Authority (Zimra) says it has set aside $4,3 billion for the implementation of at least 12 key projects this year, which includes an ICT systems upgrade, employee accommodation, and overhaul of the domestic revenue collection system.
Some of the projects that will be implemented this year date back to 2019 and are set to be completed in 2025 under the revenue collector’s digitalisation roadmap. Fielding questions at a media engagement breakfast meeting yesterday, Zimra acting director for finance and administration, Lloyd Karonga, said the organisation was allocated $6,1 billion by the Treasury this year.
