SUMMER crop production in 2022 fell across all sectors as the country battled now all too common drought patterns and an unfavourable cost environment, with the Russia-Ukraine war adding pressure on preparations for the 2022/23 season.

However, a bright winter wheat season saw record production, with Zimbabwe producing its highest-ever output.
