Hippo Valley full year revenue seen at US$135mln

LOCAL equities group IH Securities (IH) has flagged a potential dip in Hippo Valley Estates (Hippo Valley) sales volumes in the current fiscal year, as domestic sales are being impacted by cheaper imports.
This comes as the industry’s sugar sales into the local market remain under pressure from competing imports, driven by the then-existing suspension of import duty on basic commodities.

Hippo Valley’s revenues climbed 61 percent to $63,1 billion, despite reporting a 3 percent decline in total sales volumes during the period.
