THE Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) says it has made an application with the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (Zera) for another power tariff review.
It comes as the state power utility has had to increase imports due to decreased domestic generation capacity.
“Let me say that we have made an application to Zera, the electricity regulator, to review our position as far as the tariff is concerned. I think you are aware that in the fourth quarter of 2022, there was a tariff adjustment; it has helped us, but our tariff is yet to reach cost reflectivity,” ZETDC acting managing director Ralph Katsande told The Financial Gazette last week.
