Power cuts agonise Nampak

NAMPAK Zimbabwe (Nampak) says the business environment in Zimbabwe will remain difficult as long as power challenges persist.
Load shedding has lately intensified in the country due to the loss of generation capacity at the flagship Kariba hydro power plant, as well as breakdowns at the Hwange thermal station.

Volumes at the company’s Hunyani Corrugated division grew by 13,6 percent, with the main contributor being improved tobacco case orders from the region, as well as some carryover from late-season orders from local tobacco merchants from the prior year.
