PLAYERS in the building and construction industry are ramping up recycling efforts in a bid to promote the circular economy, which they see as a new source of revenue.
A circular economy is defined as a system of economics focused on the recycling and regeneration of materials or goods, particularly as a means of sustaining or ecologically friendly production.

In a recent interview with The Financial Gazette, Zimbabwe Building Contractors Association (ZBCA) president, Petros Kagwere said the building and construction sector has a significant impact on the economy and environment.
Kagwere said the industry is ready to implement a circular economy.
