The private banking initiative marks another key milestone in its growth following the recent launch of Corporate and Institutional Banking.
As the bank continues on its transformation journey, NBS has evolved since last year to redefine and shift its mandate into ‘Bank, Build and Go Beyond’.
For this year, NBS’s strategic focus is going beyond and catering to customer needs that were previously never catered to by other banks as a result of synergistic innovations.
In a keynote address to launch the private banking unit in Harare recently, NBS managing director Tapera Mushoriwa unpacked the innovative elite banking initiative to the selected high-end guests invited for the launch event.
“This sets you apart from the crowd, offering you the privileged treatment you deserve and enabling you to get what you want out of your finances.”
Mushoriwa said while NBS continues to evolve and launch various ranges of products, it remains true to its mandate of being a preferred financial partner
“Our new private banking unit seeks to fill the gap in the market and service high-value clients. This defines our mission to go beyond and offers banking solutions from the time you wake up in the morning to the time you go to bed.
“We want to help you build your wealth, assist you to expand your businesses as well as unveil bespoke mortgage facilities and property investment opportunities mainly for value creation and preservation,” he said.
NBS Platinum Pavilion is located in the plush suburb of Alexandra Park, Harare.
Through the private banking unit, the bank’s objective is to go beyond lifestyle banking and focus on wealth management as well as unlocking diverse investment opportunities for clients.
NBS is on the drive to establish Luxe synergism with other big brands like Zimoco and Premier Auto to create a one-stop shop and offer convenience to clients.
Apart from that, the bank has already created other synergies in real estate, travel agencies, and many other partners ensuring a posh lifestyle. NBS elite banking remains strictly by invitation for deserving clients who would qualify to bank under this very high-end division.
NBS recently launched Corporate and Institutional Banking in a bid to grow its balance sheet by servicing large clients which comes with huge market opportunities.
Last year, NBS wound up the Dzivarasekwa Project, which churned 600 units. This year, the bank delivered 200 units in Harare’s Tynwald suburb. Mushoriwa said the institution has all hands-on deck to play its part in helping the country deliver 220 000 housing units by 2025.
