RAINBOW Tourism Group (RTG) says it spent $8,52 billion on local suppliers in 2022, representing a 1 200 percent increase from the $655,72 million spent in 2021.
The hospitality group had an import spending of $1,13 billion in 2022.
“The group’s procurement policy regulates supply chain management to ensure consistency, costs optimisation, and quality of all hotel supplies, services, and infrastructure project materials,” the group said in its 2022 annual report.
“Our procurement processes ensure that we make purchases from the primary source so as to reduce costs from middlemen and to ensure accountability from source. Our supply network includes both small-and large-scale fresh produce suppliers.”
