RioZim upbeat on increased output

RIOZIM says it anticipates a favourable outlook in the second half of 2023, underpinned by increased output at its Cam and Motor Mine and from its diamond operation.
The diversified miner said after the successful completion and commissioning of the Biological Oxidation (BIOX) plant project at Cam & Motor Mine, the key focus in the current period was optimisation and ramping up production to plant capacity.
During the half year ended June 30, 2023, gold output at Cam & Motor Mine increased six percent to 223 kilogrammes (kgs) from 211 kgs recorded in the prior period in 2022.

During the half year under review, output of RZM Murowa increased by 84 percent to 212 000 carats from 115 000 carats recorded in the prior period.
