ZIMBABWE’S national voice traffic increased 14 percent to 1,05 billion minutes for the quarter to December 31, 2017 from 924,7 million recorded the previous quarter, the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) said in its fourth quarter sector performance report.
The increase comes against the backdrop of a drop in voice traffic in global telecoms due to waning interest in traditional voice communication services, following the rise in over the top (OTT) services such as WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.
