Paternity testing has become quite a contentious topic of late. In the past it has been reported that paternity discrepancy statistics in Zimbabwe stand at over 60 percent.

Paternity discrepancy occurs when a child is identified as being biologically fathered by someone, other than the man who believes is the father.
While paternity disparity has been sensationalised of late, the issue of questioned fatherhood is as old as time itself, it would seem.
