POISED for the full resumption of local and international travel following the rescission of most coronavirus restrictions in the country, the tourism industry is lobbying authorities for an additional stimulus package to galvanise the sector.
Speaking to The Financial Gazette this week, a buoyant president of the Tourism Business Council of Zimbabwe (TBCZ), Wengayi Nhau, said the industry was set for a complete recovery and was looking for more government interventions to boost the sector.
“Tourism is a low hanging fruit. It is the first to go out in the event of a crisis, and indeed it is the first to come back in the event of things turning around for the better.
