Unifreight cost containment pays off

UNIFREIGHT Africa (Unifreight) says its cost containment approach had resulted in a 19 percent surge in volumes for the half year ended June 30, 2022.
In a statement accompanying the transport and logistics solutions firm’s half year results, chairman Peter Annesley said the fundamentals were sound and the business is on a solid footing

“We are very pleased to be able to report inflation adjusted earnings before interest, tax and depreciation of $396 million which is 76 percent above prior $225 million. The group has been monitoring costs as margins continued to be eroded and this has resulted in this healthy increase from prior year.
