THE Zimbabwe Agriculture Society (ZAS) says this year’s agricultural show has been given a boost by the performance of different crops in the last season.
The show, which will be held from August 28 to September 2, will run under the theme “Sustained Growth, Adaptation, Productivity, Linkages.
Crop production has seen tobacco setting an all-time record with the latest figures showing a total figure of 296 million kg while winter wheat is expected to top last year’s record of 375 000 metric tonnes (MT) with 408 000 MT.
“The significance of this event as a platform to celebrate the achievements of our national agricultural sector and discuss the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead is well recognised.
